A house fire in Carlton, Barnsley caused extensive damage to two semi-detached properties on Wood Lane early on Friday morning. South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, aided by West Yorkshire colleagues, responded to the blaze in the roof space just after 03:00 BST.
No residents were injured in the incident. The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
Response and Duration
Fire crews remained at the scene until approximately 07:00 BST. A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the brigade's "thoughts are with the residents for the extensive damage this fire has caused".
