Wigan Athletic will visit Oakwell on Saturday, 8 August for a Carabao Cup Round One match against Barnsley FC. The fixture kicks off at 3pm and marks the start of Gary Caldwell's side's 2026/27 campaign. The winners will progress to the next round of the competition.

Wigan Athletic has received an allocation of 5,074 tickets for the away fixture. Tickets go on general sale from Wednesday, 15 July at 11am and remain available until 12pm on Friday, 7 August.
Adult tickets are priced at £15, rising to £17 on match day. Concession tickets are available for over-65s, young adults aged 19–21, and juveniles under 19 at £10 and £5 respectively.

The away car park charges £5 per car on entry, with payment accepted in cash or by card.
